Newcastle’s Introvert had a really good day yesterday. Not only did they announce their signing with heavy music label UNFD, but they also dropped a new song. This adds to their news of their first headline tour next month, relevantly titled “November Tour”, as well as freshly coming off a tour with AFI!
The four piece of Audie Franks (vocals & guitar), Mitch Raschke (guitar), Max Priest (bass & vocals), and Stephen Hopkins (drums & vocals) release “December” on the back of their Old Taste EP, released August last year.
“December” is tired frustration in confrontation; rough riffs and raw voices.. before bursting into a really damn satisfying and addictive chorus. The harmonies are amazing on this song.
“Stay, if you want
You can leave, I won’t hold you back”
Gritty guitars and anticipatory beats lead us into even greater frustration with screams and a heavy beat-fest. These two people feel done with each other and every inch of the song speaks of the apathy that remains. But oh that chorus.. I could play this on repeat.
