The Love Junkies – Johnny Horner (New Music)

Perth four-piece The Love Junkies have just released an EP: Cough And Splutter. It’s released digitally as of 30th June, with physical releases out 7th July.

The Love Junkies have shared that the new single from Cough And Splutter, “Johnny Horner”, is about “being stuck at a super hip bar with super hip people blowing plumes of champion ruby up each others super hip assholes.”

“Johnny Horner”‘s grunge-punk vibes and zig-zagging are awesomely hectic. Its intense and dramatic vocals work beautifully to mock the foreign surroundings in which the protagonist finds themselves.

With looped riffs, groove beats and bass breakouts you can almost feel yourself lost in swirling loops of self-inflating fakery, along with empty pockets and jarring non-belongingness in this alien environment. This rocks.
