Quiet, Please – Note (Track Of The Day, 9th March)

Today’s Track Of The Day comes from Dallas band Quiet, Please. Their EP An Attempt At Finding Myself is a collection of very cool songs, and one of those cool songs is “Note”.

“Note” is a dark song with a raw piano tone reverberating through words spoken in fear, resignation and isolation. When we interviewed Quiet, Please, they shared that “Note” was the first song they ever wrote.

“As one would expect it took quite a while to get it how we wanted it.
Each aspect of the song took months in the making,
and it all came together piece by piece,
making the song what it is.”

It’s catchy at the same time as confronting, with struggle presented so clearly. It’s searching and questioning, combined with a call for help.

All of these elements combined make for a powerful song that stays with you.
