I am one giant goosebump with Enter Shikari‘s new track “Undercover Agents”. From the first listen, this latest single from the upcoming album The Spark felt like coming home.
“Undercover Agents” is such a ‘take my hand and run’ track, feeling hopeful as well as so very human. At first it seems like a quiet conversation between two, with admissions of realness. Pulsing beats feel like a quickening, moving into something exciting and life-changing as the facades that are held up between us and life start to crumble and fall away.
“It’s only in our heads”
The ‘this way of living is shit’ admission (“I’m so done with the pressure!”) and the lightness of the vocal (“It’s only in our heads”) and horizon-chasing beat is indescribably freeing and encouraging all at the same time.
I am probably not the only person who listened to this spark of inspiration to revolt and was moved to tears. This feels similar to what was captured in “Rabble Rouser”; a collective energy for change being inspired via music. Is Operation: The Spark about personal freedom as well as unity through music? Regardless, this is something special.

Enter Shikari ask us all who ‘seek another life’ to howl at the moon, letting go of the fears and pressure that exist only in our heads, making room for the truth to reveal itself.
This is such an anthem for the expression of truth and I am so in love. Listen when it drops in your local time zone. Prepare to FEEL something.
