On 3rd June, Depth Magazine was lucky enough to witness the best line-up of Australian bands of 2017: Aburden, Deadlights, Ambleside and Belle Haven.
The four stellar bands were at the Workers Club. It’s a cosy venue, giving the surreal feeling of this extravaganza-of-awesomeness being in a really big living room, even though a huge amount of energy and professionalism poured from the stage.
The crowd adored Ambleside, soaking up the feelgood vibes from the band. In thinking about the Ambleside set, remembering the wood of the walls, the taste of the smoke machine smoke, the vibrations going through me, and watching the guys go off on stage.. They were happy and that shone through, and they played an impressive set.
Their sound was amazing, even pulling out a new song. The hectic “Wash Away” closed their set and got all of us joining in. Couldn’t have asked for more from these humble yet insanely talented guys.
Corey Bonadiesi snapped these photos of Ambleside on the night. “I love these photos so much I might cry” was my response. See what you think by checking out the gallery.
