Melodic hardcore band Trophy Eyes are currently touring Australia on a headline tour for their Chemical Miracle album, which was released in October 2016. We had the sweaty and hoarse-throated pleasure of catching their first Melbourne show, making a Trophy Eyes song an easy and obvious choice for Track Of The Day.
“Rain On Me” is the fifth track of Chemical Miracle. It’s a track that starts off hard, before mellowing out, and hitting hard again, making it an amazing experience to witness live in amongst a crowd that is all-in. In the hard-hitting moments, it’s a hectic punk fest; all blast beats and screams. Even with the light and shade, “Rain On Me” is still one of the heaviest tracks on the album.

Watching Trophy Eyes play the majority of Chemical Miracle live was another reminder of the brilliance of this album, and why their tour completely sold out across all venues. In amongst the crowd at Northcote Social Club, we thrashed, jumped, screamed and sang in feverish unison to this amazing band.
