At Depth Magazine, it should be obvious by our name that we are deep-feelers. We love an immersive experience when it comes to music and we deep-feel our way through our reviews.
We stumbled across an interview where a member of an alternative indie rock band from Florida was talking about music and feeling into it versus driving with mental decision:
“I play the chord progressions on a piano and I say ‘How does this song feel to me? What does the song need to say in its message?’ and I’ll have a melody and I’ll put words to the melody based on what I feel the song needs to be about.” ~ Parker Wilkson
Hearing that was an immediate “YES! Who are these guys!?” moment, and we wanted to find out more.
The Infinite Eights are Parker Wilkson, Davin Norman, and Tyler Hanks. We’ll be sharing more about the band and their music in the future, but for now, we wanted to share with you their latest single, “Threw It Away”.
Take a listen and let yourself fall into “Threw It Away”, with its heartache and confusion, haunting vocals and pining guitar.
