Speech Patterns – Relapse (New Music)

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for the next Speech Patterns release and my wish was granted on 22nd July. The band released single and video “Relapse” as well as news about their debut album! Without A Sound is planned for release on 18th August.

Speech Patterns have a strong record for releasing good music with “Numb” and “Déja Vu” showing what the band are capable of, including their release of an acoustic version of “Numb” to satisfy impatient fans (not that I’m one of them..).

“Relapse” hits hard with an anthemic sound and is a satisfying and exciting sonic snack in the lead-up to the album dropping.

“There’s too little time in this precious life
To waste mending the halls of your shattered mind
So you go your way, and I’ll go mine
You can point the blame, but God knows I tried…”

“Relapse” feels like frustration of efforts that have been sunken in, seemingly wasted, to this point of now giving up. It hits hard, this heartfelt effort, expressed in heavy drums, searching guitars and honest vocals, having reached a point of being ‘done’.

Super keen for Without A Sound. Check out “Relapse”.
