Just when you think you can’t possibly love Ocean Grove more, they come out with a music video for one of the stellar tracks off their debut masterpiece album The Rhapsody Tapes.
“Thunderdome” as a song is a perfect combination of an experimental edge with a more grounded heaviness. The result is something so smooth and funky, yet also hard-hitting.
The “Thunderdome” music video is a perfect visual capturing those qualities, as well as the process of the full Ocean Grove collective creating together; with performing band members present via screen placed over (studio member) Running Touch’s face, while he dances in a white room in black clothing.
It’s (mostly) chilled and Running Touch clearly has moves, as we also saw in the “Intimate Alien” video. You can’t help but wonder what light bulb moment or enlightening moment Running Touch goes through with his head full of Ocean Grove guys and light pouring from it, before finally removing them and walking away.
Oh to be a fly on the wall of the Ocean Grove creative process..
