Glass House Point – Washed Out (Track Of The Day, 27th October)

Indie rock four piece Glass House Point have today released their EP Midnight Appetite! We’re celebrating the release with “Washed Out” as our Track Of The Day. If you’re not familiar with them, Glass House Point are Dylan Graham (Vocals/Guitar), Dylan Methot (Mandolin/Guitar), Ian Campbell (Bass), and Jansen Valk (Drums), from Tampa, Florida.

“Washed Out” is fifth on Midnight Appetite and brings the beautiful layered and rich sound that we’re used to from Glass House Point. The track begins with a warm dreamscape of sound, gentle guitar, and breathy vocals expressing concern. ‘What if’ hangs in the air, and there’s a violin lingering at the sidelines.

Honesty of experience continues to unfold and a tension hangs, seeking something from another who looks back with dead eyes. Both are exhausted and yet an aching violin and (at times) driving beat wonders if there’s more possibility.

“Are you still waiting,
Are you still waiting for me?”

As the track comes to a close with guitars and drum beats building curiosity, violin tugs gently at the ropes that kept the heart bound and unfeeling. But in the end it is all let go to the wind.

Glass House Point bring divine musical experiences. Soak up Midnight Appetite which is now available.
