It’s probably about time that Gothenburg emo band Dream Drop take the “we suck” statement out of their bio.
Joar, Zorro, Edling and Olle are back, and their brand new track “Point the Blame” rocks so hard that it’s our Track Of The Day today.
Dream Drop have lost a band member, but regardless have been busy behind the scenes and working hard on new music. “Point the Blame” as a song as well as video shows that the guys have significantly stepped up their efforts in production and musicality. As the band themselves have said, “We are back, we are stronger and we are ready to take it to the next level.”
“Because you’re afraid that it’s too late for you to be saved
But make no mistake, you’re the one to blame for what you do to yourself”
“Point the Blame” is heavy with frustration in getting someone to recognise their own role in their life, going beyond a state of fear. It’s seeking to get through to those that need to hear it.
Check out “Point the Blame” and tell us what you thought about this one on Twitter or Facebook. Looking forward to hearing more new music from these guys when it comes.
LYRICS:
You point the blame
‘Cus you’re afraid
That it’s too late
To save yourself
Here we stand and we’re equally lost
and we’re the problem, yeah, that’s on us
Step back, step back, turn right where we went left
Cut me some slack, denial would be theft
Of truth, our youth wasted away
On mindless mind games, we’re not okay
So admit to yourself or else you’ll lose it
It’s up to you, you just have to choose it
You and me are the same (We aren’t fit for this game)
We aren’t fooling anyone (But you point the blame)
To everyone but yourself
We took a left turn somewhere but we’re here at last
The end of the road with control in our past
The destination we tried to avoid but got caught up in somehow
Stumbled into like a drunk
Now we have no way out
Have you been scared of what you’ve become?
Did you lose all your hope and end up alone?
You and me are the same (We aren’t fit for this game)
We aren’t fooling anyone (But you point the blame)
To everyone but yourself
You point the blame
You point the blame
Because you’re afraid that it’s too late for you to be saved
But make no mistake, you’re the one to blame for what you do to yourself
YOU GET HIGH EVERYDAY, AREN’T YOU AFRAID?
YOU GET HIGH EVERYDAY, AREN’T YOU AFRAID?
You and me are the same (We aren’t fit for this game)
We aren’t fooling anyone (But you point the blame)
To everyone but yourself
