Today’s Track Of The Day never fails to move us. It is the beautiful “Obsess Possess” by Vesperteen.
This song was first brought to our attention with its haunting music video (via Reel Bear Media), featuring a man who realises he goes on nightly journeys in his sleep, and sets out to discover what is happening.
To us this song describes the ingrained, under-your-skin, immersed-in-your-psyche connection we can have with a lover, for better or for worse. The breath focus at the beginning, the heartbeat pulsing drums, and the cross-ear soundscapes only serve to further take us into that deep connection.
We couldn’t decide whether to share the music video version as well as an amazing live version from On The Couch Music. So you get to take your pick. Both are incredible.
