The Flatliners – Here Comes Treble (Track Of The Day, 1st May)

Today’s Track Of The Day comes from the rock/punk four piece The Flatliners. On their 2010 album Cavalcade, The Flatliners bring punk goodness by way of fiery drums and blunt lyrics in “Here Comes Treble”.

“Here Comes Treble” is 3 minutes and 43 seconds of fed-up-fury, driven home with chaotic and awesome drumming.

“Can’t wait to show you what a jaded fuck I’ve become
I’m officially finished singing about some better way
Because we’re all so young and there’s time to change
Just tell me, aren’t these the reddest eyes you’ve ever seen?”

The track seems to speak about the discomfort of emotion, becoming lost in it as time marches on, as well as the possibility of sharing it (or not), giving a nod in particular to doing this, man-to-man.
