Plymouth based Martyn Crocker is fresh from his 2017 release Favouritism. With the backing of two band members, the alternative rock singer/songwriter has carved a path in 2018 for The Martyn Crocker Band.
The new single from the band is “Everything They Want and More”, which released on 4th March. This searching and questioning track takes an unwavering look at a mousewheel existence; where continual effort and trying to get ahead seems to go nowhere.
With warm and genuine voice, relatable lyrics, and determined sound, The Martyn Crocker Band express the heaviness of effort in trying to make something of one’s life. It’s about seeing everyone around you achieve and have ‘everything they want and more’, while you feel your life and energy drain away from the things you love in the effort to get ahead.
The bridge is a moment of hope and possibility, where maybe there’s something new coming, and a way of breaking free of this monotonous existence.
