This track from Gerling‘s Children of Telepathic Experiences (1998) made my day.
Picture this: Sydney’s electronica/alternative rock trio Gerling are on the space phone. *bleep bloop boop*

The guys got your call, knowing you needed an escape out of the atmosphere. Gerling has got your back and they’ve come to rescue you from your groove-less Earth-bound existence. Are you ready?
Before you know it, the Gerling space craft has you safely on board. With circular swirls of wind and dust, and a looped melody, anticipation is high as you rise up and away from Earth, heading through the clouds and to the stars at warp speed.
The driver sets the Gerling-mobile cruise control to ‘on’ and just like that, it’s a party. The vibe is chilled and you master the fine art of dancing with altered gravity.
“La de laaa” echoes around you and the beat vibrates the cabin as you float. The electronic grooves keep you moving and feeling free. The captain echoes the happy vibes sentiment over the loud speaker:
“Something good is going to happen to you”
The party goes on as you whiz and hum through space, far far away from the things that were getting you down back on Earth. Bliss.
