Dinosaur Pile-Up – Grim Valentine (New Music)

Leeds trio Dinosaur Pile-Up have released a lyric video for their single “Grim Valentine”. As the third track of the band’s album, Eleven Eleven, “Grim Valentine” is awesomely grungey.

The track as well as its video feels like I’ve fallen into a (very cool) time warp that I don’t want to come back from. It’s direct and unflowery by way of lyrics, and warms my grunge-loving heart with its distorted riffs.

“Be yourself, copy cat.
Someone else told you that.”

Dinosaur Pile-Up shared that “Grim Valentine” is about “the weird relationship between someone making you feel terrible only because you like them so much.”  I liken it to being all-in with someone, swimming in the sea of love and getting sick in the process and not being able to sleep or eat because of being so lovesick.
Check out “Grim Valentine” with its lyric video below, as well as stream Eleven Eleven which is all kinds of brilliant for lovers of grungey sweet-ass rock.
