Kent’s Cove have announced the upcoming release of EP A Conscious Motion, coming on 23rd March. The five piece heavy band comprising of Pete Woolvern (guitar), Jack Bowdery (drums), Charlie Smith (bass), Ben Brazier (guitar) and Ben Shorten (vocals), have shared a piece of the EP by releasing “Coincide:Collide”.
In discussing the EP, Cove aren’t shy about the fact they’re pushing for a bigger and more anthemic sound than their previous releases. This is already evident in “Coincide:Collide” where from the beginning the band bring core-vibrating beats and an anticipatory build-up into a very beefy introduction.
‘Can’t save you as you fade out into nothing’
“Coincide:Collide” slithers as aggressively as it thumps; a piece of music that assumes control and then hand feeds us riffs and fluid introspection. The track marries furious aggression with smoothly crafted delivery. Layers of sound, unexpected accents/effects and solid performance of all band members makes this blistering track mesmerising and impressive.
