Roar Gold – Circles (feat. Ruben Hultman) (Track Of The Day, 19th March)

We don’t know exactly why “Circles” by Roar Gold, featuring Ruben Hultman, has been stuck in our heads since it was released on 18th March.

Maybe it’s because “Circles” is a bliss bomb of sideways beats, ambient sound, liquid lyrics and relatable experiences via metaphor:

There is a house in my head
Someone else lives there
Tried to find a way in
But ended up walking round in circles.”

Maybe it’s because we’re already huge fans of the multi-talented Ruben Hultman, and he shines on this track, lending his authentic and emotional voice to a sparkling multi-layered musical experience created by Roar Gold (aka Daryl Hollier).

Maybe it’s because “Circles” is danceable at the same time as being thoughtful, unique and zen. It ticks so many boxes musically, and hearing it makes us smile, despite the heavier concept captured within the lyrics of being out of connection with your own self and understanding.

Regardless of why, we cannot. stop. listening. And we’re not complaining at all.
